Oriental Turtle Dove

Streptopelia orientalis

Oriental  Turtle Dove is one of the beautiful dove we saw until now. It has different and more beautiful colored patterns in compare to spotted dove. We saw them first time when we visited the Mount Abu first time, story posted in Changeable Hawk-eagle. While entering into the Salim Ali point at entrance we saw this beautiful dove. It was foraging on trail. They are very shy and read to fly away but we get the chance to click some shots. They have lovely patterns and nice colors. After that, we saw them at many places in Gujarat.
